This painting is 9.25" by 15", fluid acrylics on cold press watercolor paper. It is the 14th painting I have completed this year as well as the last of the year. Happy New Year everyone!

Jones Bridge Park painting is done on illustration board - 16" by 20". The deer painting is on a much larger canvas - 24" by 30". I used fluid acrylics for both.
Both of these paintings are 24" by 30", fluid acrylics on canvas. The wolf painting took me a little longer to complete because of the dark background. Dark backgrounds require more paint and typically increase the amount of time required to finish a painting.
This is my first time painting on canvas. It is 24" by 30" and I used fluid acrylics. Fluid acrylics went on the canvas easier than I expected - very easy to do gradient washes. It was a much more forgiving surface than primed illustration board. I also managed to scan this painting and the colors turned out well. I had to scan it in eight separate sections and then stitch them all together. Overall I am pleased with how it turned out and I plan on doing at least two more paintings on canvas this year.
Its been a very busy school year so I have neglected my blog for a while. I have created some oil paintings and I have also done some plein air painting. The painting of the river started off as a plein air painting but it quickly became a studio painting since I finished it at home. Both the blue jays and horror self-portrait are painted in oils on primed illustration board.
